HTC launches the first WiMAX handset but certainly is not the first small form factor mobile device supporting mobile wimax (see NOKIA N810 Tablet) though the HTC handset has an advantage it supports the existing GSM networks too.

Besides wireless wimax, the new HTC handset supports Wi-Fi and it's powered by the Windows mobile 6.1.

The device will be available on the November 26th but don't get too excited since you have to be in Russia to buy it. Us here in US we might have to wait a while or maybe even expect much "cooler" devices from other device manufacturers.

I'm quite surprized by the speed of a device with Windows Mobile. Maybe I'm too used to my slow Palm Treo that's why I'm saying that.
