In order to succeed WiMAX needs some innovative mobile devices and do something like ATT did with iPhone.

Though it's difficult to repeat iPhone's success I think WiMAX can become a success only if there are great mobile devices and applications to support it.

Something like this MID (Mobile Internet Device) might do it but we don't kow the price yet since is going to be launched in 2009:

Subsidising might help but from what I know there are no long term contracts with XOHM for example so that might not be an option. Does anyone know if XOHM is currently subsidising any wimax enabled devices?
