New Mobile Internet Device Supporting WiMAX Available Early 2009

A Korean company called UMID will launch early next year a very exciting new mobile device the company calls MID (Mobile Internet Device). The MID and it will support WiMAX, WiBro, HSDPA, WiFi and Bluetooth and it runs on Windows XP, Windows Vista or Linux operating system. It's powered by an Intel Atom processor and supports up to 1GB of RAM.

The overseas sales manager mentioned they are exporting it all over the world
but he hasn't specifically mentioned US.

If thy are selling it in US they
will probably need FCC certification since the mobile device is using RF to send
and receive the data.
