Clearwire shareholders approve merger with XOHM Sprint to roll out WiMAX network |

Clearwire shareholders have approved the deal today to merge with Sprint's XOHM business unit. The new joint venture includes also five more strategic partners Google, Intel, Time Warner Cable, Comcast, Trilogy Partners and Bright House Networks which will invest 3.2 billion in the new company to roll out wireless WiMAX across US.
The designated president of the new Clearewire joint venture is Berry West the current president of Sprint's XOHM unit.
The new venture hopes will achieve a population coverage of 120-140 million by the end of 2010.
